Title

The Hidden Power of Nonverbal Intelligence in Business

Event Description

Joe Navarro, drawing on his decades of experience in behavioral sciences, provides crucial insights into how to master nonverbal intelligence to assess and influence others.  This presentation is practical, detailed, and full of valuable pointers on how to lead, how to get noticed, and how to insure that you have the best interpersonal relations with your clients and patrons.

There are hidden factors that are critical, pervasive, and deeply influential in the business arena and Joe shares how to apply these factors to get ahead in the workplace. He shows how to decode what’s really being said in meetings, negotiations, business meals and interviews. The presentation also covers how to manage “curbside appeal” and the “comfort dividend” to ensure first and last impressions inspire and attract.  It describes how significant “movement to action” and “taking action” are in affecting how a person and organization are regarded by the outside world.  Joe also shows how to use nonverbal intelligence to recognize and address emotions to ensure a healthier, happier workplace.

For 25 years, Joe Navarro worked as an FBI special agent in the area of counterintelligence and behavioral assessment.  Since retiring in 2003, he has become one of the world’s leading experts on nonverbal communication and today travels internationally to share his unique knowledge of human behavior through business lectures and consulting with major corporations and financial institutions. For the past three years, he has also spoken at the Harvard Business School.  Joe has appeared on major U.S. and International media outlets including CNN and CNN International, Fox News, CBS, NBC, NPR Radio, The Times (UK), and The Guardian (UK).  Experts have described Joe as “a world-class observer” (Jack Canfield) and “a master of reading nonverbals” (David Givens, Ph.D). His most recent publication, Louder Than Words, written specifically for the business world, received high acclaim as “One of the six best business books to read for your career in 2010.”  Joe is also the author of the best-selling body language book, What Every Body is Saying which was published in 2008.
